Connecticut Reimbursement for Telehealth

Connecticut Medicaid Reimburses for Telehealth

2016 Law provides some Medicaid telehealth coverage in CT.  Federally Qualified health Centers and other originiating sites can bill medicaid for reimbursement for telehealth procedures in rural or underserved areas.

"CT Medicaid is required (within available state and federal resources) provide coverage for telehealth services for categories of health care services that the commissioner determines are clinically appropriate to be provided through telehealth, cost effective for the state and likely to expand access to services for whom accessing healthcare poses an undue hardship."

In addition, the Connecticut parity laws allow for telemedicine coverage by private insurance, Medicaid, and State Employees Health Plans.

E-Prescribing of controlled substances

2018 CT Law allows ePrescribing of controlled substances.
